Advanced Monitoring Services Strengthens Its Position as a Leader in Intraoperative Neuromonitoring with the Acquisition of Southern-California Based Vigilant Neuromonitoring, LLC

Springdale, AR – December 14, 2020 – Advanced Monitoring Services Holdings, LLC, the parent company of Advanced Monitoring Services (AMS) of Springdale, Arkansas, announced that it had acquired Vigilant Neuromonitoring. Vigilant is a fast-growing intraoperative neuromonitoring (IONM) startup operating in Los Angeles and Orange Counties, California.

The acquisition of Vigilant brings additional value to our hospital partners and patients by:

  • Improving the services offered to hospital customers and patients in Southern California by providing a backbone of administrative, leadership, and staffing support to Vigilant.
  • Expanding our footprint, enabling AMS to serve more patients with high quality, patient-focused intraoperative neuromonitoring care.
  • Combining Vigilant’s experienced staff and ability to monitor complex procedures with the support of AMS’s rigorous training program and advanced back-office technology.

“Since our founding almost 15 years ago, AMS’ focus has been grounded in improving lives— the lives of our people and our patients. Our acquisition of Vigilant supports that focus by expanding our team of experienced surgical Neurophysiologists so that we can improve the lives of more patients,” said Brad Vinson, CNIM, CEO of AMS. He added, “The key to our success always has been, and always will be, our people. The people of Vigilant are precisely the compassionate, safety-focused, well trained professionals we want in our organization.”

Both companies recognize the synergy of this integration.  Both AMS and Vigilant are intensely focused on offering consistently high quality intraoperative neuromonitoring to patients. “The staff at Vigilant are experienced and highly capable of monitoring the most cutting edge and complex spinal and skull-based procedures performed. Our team will be infinitely stronger because of the caliber of the people we welcome through the Vigilant acquisition.  Empowered by our backbone of support, they will be able to focus on rendering the highest level of intraoperative neuromonitoring care in the U.S., completely disrupting the California market through high quality, patient-focused care,” Vinson said.

Before its acquisition by AMS, Vigilant was owned and operated by Brian Tatomir, Brian Brady, and Steve Vizmeg. Tatomir and Brady will continue to play a critical role in serving customers and overseeing the business’s growth across the state of California by leveraging a laser focus on high-quality care for the most complicated spinal and craniotomy procedures.

” “As Vigilant was going through this process with AMS, we continued to validate our decision to be stronger together, highlighting the core values that we put together when we started Vigilant. With AMS’s strong leadership and Joint Commission Accreditation, Vigilant will undoubtedly continue to put the patient’s health above all else,” says Tatomir. .”

AMS has delivered integrated and exceptional neurodiagnostic care for almost 15 years, continually earning the trust of its growing customer base.  With an experienced team of board-certified clinicians and cutting-edge technology, AMS offers best-in-class patient care solutions tailored to meet customers’ needs. AMS’s core services include an outsourced solution for intraoperative neuromonitoring, EEG, EMG, and consultations to optimize in-house neurodiagnostic departments.

Vigilant was founded by industry executives in 2018 to change the landscape of neuromonitoring in Southern California by bringing a high-quality focus to neuromonitoring care. Their “Always Eyes On” approach is backed by senior surgical Neurophysiologists with decades of experience.
